About these Artworks

Sculptural Beauty
What excites me most about these Radial Waveform pieces is their three-dimensional quality. I aim to transform traditional flat surfaces into dynamic forms that evoke movement and energy. As I created each piece, I envisioned how it would engage viewers from multiple angles, encouraging them to appreciate the intricate details and be drawn into the piece, to explore it further.

Colour
Colour is a vital element of these works. In this series, I’ve drawn inspiration from the warmth of the sun, using vibrant colour palettes that reflect its radiant energy as well as calming blues reminiscent of the ocean. The hues range from bold, saturated tones to softer, more muted shades, creating a dynamic interplay that enhances the visual experience. I hope that the gradients and blends within each circular form resonate emotionally, drawing viewers into a deeper engagement.

Circular Form
The circular form is a defining aspect of my Radial Waveform artworks. To me, this shape symbolises unity, balance and wholeness, reflecting natural patterns found in waves and celestial bodies. The circular designs create a rhythm and balance that I find meditative, and I hope they encourage viewers to reflect on the cyclical nature of life and our interconnectedness.

Deeper Meaning
Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these works carry a deeper significance. They reflect my concerns about global warming, the environment, and the heat waves and rising seas increasingly impacting our world. I hope that viewers will not only appreciate the beauty of the pieces but also engage in a dialogue about our collective responsibility to protect the planet.

My hope is that these artworks—through their sculptural elegance, captivating colour palettes, and harmonious circular forms—engage and inspire, leaving a lasting impression. In an ever-evolving contemporary art landscape, I believe that the power of form and colour can create truly immersive experiences that resonate with the urgent themes of our time.
