The second in my Hemisphere series, 38 White Hemispheres is inspired by the beauty of spherical form.
I love the way this sculptural art work changes as you walk around it. If viewed from the left/right you are presented with strong perfectly formed hemispheres, and you might initially be tricked into thinking they are completely solid.
However, as you approach a more central viewpoint i.e. looking straight on, the strong hemisphere forms break up and reveal themselves as thin slices - the effect is more subtle and delicate and the fragility of the artwork becomes apparent.
